My name is Jacob Velasquez. I am a 19 year old software developer.
I created this site for three reasons
- To record my work, so others can see what I've done
- To record my progress, so I can see how far I've come.
- To house the ideas I think are worth sharing, so others can learn as I have.
My favorite programming hobby is learing new coding languages.
My favorite kind of software to write is anything massively distributed, anything that automates a tedious task, and anything that requires squeezing as much performance out of silicon as possible.
My favorite kind of books to read are ones that help me better understand how the world works. I rarely read fiction, but enjoy it just as much as non-fiction.
This site was built using Astro, hosted on a cloudflare worker. It uses no JavaScript. Every post is a markdown file.
I admire simplicity.
My favorite kind of exercise is weightlifting or high-intensity cardio. I hate running.
I like meeting new people.
